Ranger’s Report – 09 February 2017
Ranger’s Report – What a way waking up to the sound of raindrops on the roof!! Looking outside there is wetness all around.
Driving in the veld just a little while ago I have my heart swell with thanksgiving and humbleness. Rain meters were the first to be checked and anxiously I stopped at the first one – 31mm of rain!!
Overall Linksfontein has had a substantial amount varying from between 31 to 44mm’s
The dirt roads are filled with little water pools and the ground has sucked up most of the water – just to give a indication of how dry it really is.
A tortoise standing in the middle of the water to quench it’s thirst is a sight and a privilege to see.
All we need is a few days of nice hot weather and a little bit of good old sunshine. The farm is sure to change into a evergreen sight. Hoping though that in the next seven to fourteen days there will be a follow-up of rain. This would spur on growth.
Going home I drive back praising our Lord. For the gift He not only gave to us humans, but to all the animals in dire need of some green.
